Who's the lass behind the language lassie?

Expertise. Results. A lot of heart.

In 2017, I turned my passion for helping others into a full-time job and started teaching officially. Living my dream started much earlier though: Ever since I stepped foot off a plane in Atlanta for the very first time in 1994, I have been in love with the English language. Through reading, I started to appreciate German, my mother tongue, just as much.

When I was 13, I started tutoring. Two years later I started coaching youth sports teams. My passion for teaching was born and has only grown ever since.

After completing the matura in Zurich, I spent a semester in the US and then started my Bachelor's and Master's studies in English Language & Literature as well as History at the University of Zurich. I completed my studies with a focus on Scottish linguistics and language teaching, finalizing everything with the diploma for teaching at matura level in Switzerland. Since then, I have worked at various schools throughout Switzerland, including the Military Academy for Professional Officers, teaching English and German to youths and adults. I currently still teach at two "Gymis", History and English.

Through my years of experience, I have gained the reputation to guarantee great results, and the skills to get my students to excel in a variety of disciplines. I teach students with a wide array of skill levels and in preparation for various language certificates. While I strive to help every student reach their goals, it is also equally as important to me that language learning is and remains fun. There is never a lesson without laughter in my classroom!

I'd be happy to teach you next, so:

PS: lass or lassie is the Scottish term for "girl" or "woman" and can be used endearingly
